Hans-Martin Tillack

Hans-Martin Tillack is a German investigative reporter for Die Welt. He previously worked for Stern and taz. Tillack was based in Brussels from 1999 to 2004. He is most famous for exposing corruption in Eurostat and the subsequent inquiry the EU anti-fraud office OLAF opened against him. In 2007, the European Court of Human Rights ruled that Tillack's freedom of speech rights had been violated when Belgian police raided his office in relation to that case.
